About Jemile

I help small businesses grow through smart SEO, clear messaging, and grounded marketing strategy.

I’m Jemile Nesimi-Hobson, founder and CEO of Luna Rose Consulting. With 15+ years of experience in SEO, content, branding, and digital marketing, I help businesses build a stronger online presence with a strategy that is thoughtful, practical, and designed for sustainable growth.

Over the years, I’ve supported more than 50 clients nationwide across small business, wellness, nonprofit, community-based, and creative industries. My work is rooted in research, analytics, strong writing, and a deep understanding of how to connect businesses with the right audience in a genuine, effective way.

What sets my approach apart is that I look at the whole picture. I don’t just focus on rankings, content, or visuals in isolation. I help businesses align their brand message, website, SEO, and marketing so their digital presence feels clear, cohesive, and credible.

My background spans SEO strategy, website copy, blogging, content planning, social media, Canva design, and Squarespace website builds, with WordPress support also available. That mix allows me to bring both strategy and execution to the table, which is especially valuable for small businesses that need thoughtful support without unnecessary complexity.

I also bring a unique perspective shaped by my background in writing and Food Studies, as well as 15 years of experience in the medical field. That foundation informs the way I approach healthcare, wellness, education, and mission-driven work: with nuance, clarity, and care.

As a business owner, writer, creative, and mom of three, I understand how much small business owners are holding at once. I know the value of marketing that is not only effective, but realistic, sustainable, and aligned with the heart of the business behind it.

At Luna Rose Consulting, my goal is simple: to help businesses show up more clearly, reach more of the right people, and grow with confidence.

Certifications

I hold a degree in Food Studies and Writing from CUNY Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies, earned summa cum laude, and I’m also a Certified Medical Biller and Medical Administrative Professional. My background includes 15 years in the medical field, with experience across major healthcare settings including NYU, HealthSouth, and private practices.

That foundation gives me a deeper understanding of health, wellness, and community-centered work than a typical marketer. I bring strong knowledge of healthcare communication, patient-facing content, and the standards that matter, including Google E.E.A.T., FDA considerations, HIPAA awareness, and accessibility best practices.

I also spent eleven years as Web Content Manager, Writer & Editor, and Social Media Manager for Acupuncture Atlanta, an acupuncture clinic and online supplement store with more than 30,000 products. Over the years, I’ve written thousands of product descriptions, blog posts, and website pages across functional medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, wellness, and conventional healthcare.

This combination of writing, medical industry knowledge, and digital strategy allows me to create marketing that is informed, credible, and deeply aligned with the audiences it serves.

I am a proud Gen X Mom of 3, each born in a different decade! My son and both my daughters are really at the heart of all my intentions and the reason I started my business. I wanted the flexibility to truly enjoy work-life balance while pursuing my degree and raising my children.

Although I am from Brooklyn and my husband, Robert is from Queens - we met in the Hudson Valley! in 2010, we both attended Vassar as Exploring Transfer Students and fell in love. Seven years later married with a new baby we moved our family into our new house in Wappingers Falls. Since then we have made friends, planted roots in our community, and enjoyed our new lifestyle - even if we get homesick for NYC from time to time.

I understand small businesses from the inside out. I’m not only the founder of my own company, but I also grew up in a family business. Starting at age nine, I spent countless days working in my family’s pizzeria alongside my cousins: serving customers, taking delivery orders, prepping food, and selling Italian ice. Early on, I learned that running a business takes grit, consistency, and the willingness to do whatever needs to be done.

As I got older, I began to see how important marketing and branding really are. I took an active role in the business, including helping design menus for print, and began to understand how a business presents itself can shape how people remember it, trust it, and return to it.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, I carry that same resilience, directness, and work ethic into the way I support my clients. I understand both the hustle of small family-run businesses and the broader business landscape, and I bring that perspective to every project.

As a female entrepreneur and a member of the Hudson Valley Women in Business community, I also value connection, collaboration, and the unique perspective that comes with building something of your own. The relationships I’ve built through that community have continued to shape me as a business owner and deepen my commitment to helping other businesses grow.
